1. Overview

These Terms govern your use of Maplan, a feedback, public roadmap, and changelog product operated by ByteCrafters. By creating an account, using the service, or interacting with a public board powered by Maplan, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. If you use Maplan on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity.

3. Accounts and security

You agree to provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.

• • You are responsible for activity under your account.
• • You must notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
• • We may suspend access if we detect abuse, fraud, or security issues.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• • break the law using the service,
• • upload harmful, abusive, or infringing content,
• • scrape or harvest data without permission,
• • abuse or overload the API,
• • interfere with security or access controls, or
• • reverse-engineer or copy the service except where law clearly allows it.

5. Customer content

You keep ownership of the content you submit to Maplan. You give us a limited licence to host, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to run and improve the service.

You are responsible for making sure your content is lawful and that you have the right to use it.

6. Public boards and submissions

Maplan includes features that allow customers to publish roadmap items, ideas, changelogs, and other content publicly.

• • Public content is public because a customer chose to make it public.
• • Customers are responsible for moderation and visibility settings in their own workspace.
• • We are not responsible for customer content made public by customers or their users.

7. Billing

Paid access, if offered, is billed on a subscription basis. Pricing, limits, and billing intervals are shown at signup or inside the app.

• • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
• • Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider we choose.
• • Taxes may apply depending on your location.

Unless local law says otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable.

8. Changes to the service

We may update, improve, remove, or replace parts of Maplan over time. That includes APIs, features, usage limits, and integrations. We will try to avoid surprising customers in ways that break normal use for no good reason.

10. Data protection

We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. Customers remain responsible for the lawfulness of the personal data they collect and submit to Maplan through their own workspaces.

11. Intellectual property

The Maplan product, code, branding, design, and related materials belong to ByteCrafters or its licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of the service itself.

12. Termination

You may stop using Maplan at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or use the service in a way that creates legal, security, or operational risk.

13. Disclaimers

Maplan is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ByteCrafters will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or relating to Maplan will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to ByteCrafters, unless mandatory local consumer or data protection laws require otherwise.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If the changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to let customers know.
